Features of the E-Taxi Scheme

Total Vehicles: 1,100 electric taxis in the first phase.
Payment Plan: Five-year interest-free installments.
Government Subsidy: The government covers all interest costs; applicants contribute 30% of the vehicle’s cost.
Target Cities: Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
Special Quota: 30% of taxis reserved for female applicants.
Vehicle Specifications: Equipped with GPS, smart meters, and official e-taxi branding.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scheme, applicants must:

Be a resident of Punjab.
Possess a valid CNIC and driving license.
Be between 21 to 60 years of age.
Be unemployed or from a low-income background.
Women and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Fleet owners can also apply (minimum of 10 vehicles).
